Another great day today πŸ˜€ but then it was a Wednesday, so I started the day with the very best of company, in fact at 02-00 Paige wandered rather sleepily into my bedroom, and asked if she could sleep with me. I told her to get lost an go back to her own bed at once!………………. Yeah right, like that was ever likely to happen, free sleepy cuddles from my little girl, she cuddled up to me straight away, and spent the rest of the night with me πŸ˜€
We had the usual fun walk to school, we started off as monsters scaring each other, before once again become secret agents on a vital top secret mission πŸ™‚
When I collected Aiden in the afternoon, he had for the most part, had a good day, although the lack of Paige at break time this morning (her class had visited the big school to do some PE there), upset him somewhat, and threw him off kilter for the remainder of the day………
Again due to continuing bad weather I used the push chair to bring him home, and was horrified & disgusted to discover the wheels caked in dog crap upon getting home. This led to a great deal of cursing ignorant dog owners as I clean the wheels, an the carpet of crap…… Grrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!
This evening at school it was parents evening for both Paige and Aiden. Paige’s teacher couldn’t heap enough praise on her, at one point remarking that Paige has the most beautiful singing voice in the school (she has secured the role of Mary in the nativity play, but doesn’t know that yet, so shhhhhhh don’t tell her), along with everything else being absolutely great as well πŸ˜‰
We then met Aiden’s teacher, and to be honest I didn’t really know what to expect, I never expected it to be the usual type of parents evening for Aiden, with talk of how he is doing in different subjects. But he received a glowing report as well. Not only has he far exceeded everyone’s expectations with regard to settling in, but there are some subjects he really enjoys, and is doing very well at. For instance they teach phonics, and apparently adores this subject and is in the top learning tier for it πŸ™‚ just awesome!!!!!
I’ve emailed the school tonight to say thank you and to pass on my thanks to his amazing teaching assistants. As I think it’s important they receive some thanks for the great work they’ve done πŸ˜‰
Well that about covers the day, I’ve once again continued to expell blood in a most unpleasant way, but then I’ve had a high gluten in my diet these past couple of days – most of the foods Aiden has is gluten heavy, and it’s not fiscally viable to buy myself the alternatives when there are little mouths to feed as well πŸ™‚
Picture wise today we have a nice neat line of you cars Aiden made, and then he insisted that I take Lightning McQueen’s photo. Finally there is a picture of a packet of crisps that anyone UK based who was around in the late 70’s early 80’s may recognise, I was very excited to find the in a local shop πŸ˜‰
