As it’s Bank Holiday Weekend we did what all the English do, and gathered a big group in the garden to witness the charring of lots of food. Yep BBQ time, however I always like to avoid a visit from food poisoning so much of the morning/early afternoon was spent preparing as much of the food as possible. I just think its always best to err on the side of caution, particularly when cooking frozen stuff, and do it in the oven first, allowing for the BBQ to finish it off and add a little charring/flavour. Of course this didn’t stop me carbonising the first round of food to be introduced to our recently acquired free/salvaged BBQ. But that was just while got used to it. Besides its traditional to have some burgers that resemble charcoal at all BBQ’s 🙂
Fortunately most of the other food was less well done 🙂
All in all a good fun afternoon, and for what seems like the first time ever, I wasn’t required to stand in duty at the grill all the time, so that was a massive bonus 🙂
