I don’t think this is going to be one of my high quality posts today. Today has been a bit “meh”, a bit of a zombie day. Likely due to the fact that sleep was distinctly absent last night, still lets hope it’s a bit better tonight as I e got work to distract me from the final full day of the Long Lonely Stint.
I did watch most of Star Wars episode 2 today. And I realised that as with most of the Star Wars films, there was a scene where a character could easily have prevented the rest of the story from unfolding. Now you may need to watch it to fully appreciate it, but here goes. At the end of Yoda’s battle with Count Dooku, the Count uses the force to start something falling onto the probe forms of Obi Wan and Anakin. Yoda can either use all his might to prevent them from being crushed, or stop Dooku escaping and thus ensuring the Deathstar plans aren’t delivered to Palpatine. Yoda of course chooses to save Obi Wan and Anakin. But there was a third option available to him. He could have simply used Force Push on Obi Wan and Anakin (they were both prone and together), and then opened a can of green muppet like Force whup-ass on Dooku. Problem solved, everyone lives happily ever after 🙂
