Well somehow I ended up with both the little ones in bed with me, to be honest I don’t really remember it happening, but as of this morning they were both asleep next to me, you may remember that I did confess to it having been a tiring week πŸ™‚
We all eventually went off for a visit to a village fete today, and while we weren’t actually there that long, it was still a worthy adventure. The little ones enjoyed themselves on the bouncy castle, and then had a good 15 minutes dancing to the empty disco in the marque πŸ™‚
Finally a valuable lesson was learned at the fete, it’s not a good idea to let Aiden play the Tombola. Paige had a go first, and immediately drew out a winning a ticket and got a teddy bear. Then Aiden wanted to take a go, and with hindsight I should have dissuaded him from it, but the heat and the fun got the better of us πŸ™‚ So Aiden drew out a ticket and it wasn’t a winning one. This was tricky to explain in a way that Auden could understand. After all he’d just done exactly what Paige had, and been denied a prize. Whilst we didn’t have a complete meltdown, it was a little unpleasant and I got a few slaps from him for it. Ah we’ll it’s another thug we’ve learnt πŸ™‚
We rounded the day off by eating a most delicious gluten free dessert, and believe that’s not something you get to say very often when you’re on a gluten free diet πŸ™‚
