We spent another morning swimming this morning, I’m trying to maximise the amount of times we take them, as we don’t get a chance to do it very often, and Id love to be able to get them both swimming.
After our morning dip we went off on an adventure, which included a drive which headed slightly inland, there was a very brief window of opportunity where I managed to get a 3G signal and upload my previous blog entries – finally ๐Ÿ™‚
We then went to a Shire Horse Sanctuary, which had many different animals, including a Pig which kindly had a proper mud wallowing session just as we neared it, which was fascinating ๐Ÿ™‚ Now as we were going around looking at all the animals (pigs, Cows, Horses etc) I couldn’t help but notice a certain undercurrent to all all the literature. For instance many of the animals had been reduced to a greater or lesser degree, in just about every one of the information cards (telling you about each animals history), they nearly always I corporated text of the following ilk: “This is Daisy the cow, she was rescued from an evil slaughterhouse, where she would have faces certain death”
I correctly predicted that when we reached the cafe, there would only be vegetarian options available……… Yep I was right, not even a whiff of bacon was present. Still the little ones enjoyed themselves ๐Ÿ™‚
Once we had looked at all the animals in the militant vegetarians haven, we set off for he promise of a beach with golden sand. I’m pleased to report that we found the beach, and we all spent hours there, the kite got another airing and conditions for flying where bear on perfect, so we got some great height with it :-).
It was well into the evening when we headed back and we had a couple of tired out children, however they didn’t seem interested in giving in to sleep. I suspect they were worried about missing the next big adventure ๐Ÿ™‚
