Had a fairly early start today, well actually based on my usual “crack of dawn” starts to the day it was a late one. Aiden’s paediatrician appointment was at 08-30, but of course the important paediatrician didn’t turn up until at least 08-45, and then he faffed around for a while.
Although to be fair I’m likely painting him in a negative light, the appointment, on the whole, was positive. He has no concerns, so that’s a good thing. Although sure enough Coeliac came up as an outstanding test that they are awaiting the results from. I very calmly and succinctly pointed out that there is no way Aiden is affect thus, and pointed out that in this particular instance I do definitely know what I’m talking about πŸ™‚ so I think we can safely say we won’t be hearing about that any more………
There was talk about the drug/hormone that Aiden has to make him sleepy, which is used as part of his bedtime routine. But I don’t use it as he always goes straight to sleep when he is with me. And that was largely it.
After that he came home with me, and we went out for a walk to the shops, making sure we enjoyed the sunshine πŸ™‚
A day larking about followed and Aiden mostly enjoyed his walk to pick Paige up from school. Although towards the end of it, as we neared the school, there were a few little issues. It was many due to other people walking on the path behind us. For some reason Aiden started to get very anxious with people walking behind us (and not necessarily near to us!). We got through it, it just meant that the last portion of our walk (about the last 5th of the distance), took almost long as the time it took for the rest of the walk. We made slow progress towards the end, but still got there in time πŸ™‚
Once we had Paige, we headed off home and managed to get a lift back (which was nice). Also as a result of this lift we got an invitation to was to the park for the evening to play with Paige’s friend, which if course was accepted, and great fun was had at the park. Even when the trip had to be cut short due to dark clouds, thunder and rain. We all enjoyed the somewhat moist walk home without incident πŸ™‚
I managed to grab a few pictures today, including and update of Paige’s injury from last week :-/
