Obviously it’s been a somewhat epic day for both myself and the little ones πŸ™‚
I always make sure we get outside for adventures when we spend the weekend together, and today we definitely did that. I’d suggested we go to the woods nearby for a spot of tree climbing, ad it was met with much excitement, so much so they we spent all morning in the fabulous sunshine outside exploring.
Sure we started off with a spot of tree climbing but then we decided to follow some paths to see where they led (I did have a rough idea, and for anyone local it in the know, we basically walked along the brook that Giltbrook is named after). So our chosen oath through the woods led us to a brook and we decided to take a meandering walk along it, occasionally stopping to cross it at exciting places – like bridges/stepping stones and fallen trees. We took a very leisurely stroll and both Paige and Aiden easily managed to roughly 4 mile round trip πŸ™‚
Now I’m aware that was quite an epic walk, so this afternoon was far more sedate, the Loom Bands came out, Paige even patiently taught her day fingered Daddy how to make a fishtail bracelet, and I now have 2 more Loom Band bracelets to wear. I’m starting to feel like some rubber fetishist Saxon warrior displaying warrior armbands πŸ˜€
Well that about sums up (but doesn’t do justice to) our adventure today, I’ll now attempt to load as many pictures as I can showing the making of childhood memories πŸ™‚
