Phew what a scorcher πŸ™‚ I just felt like stating the obvious, especially as we’ve spent all day outside having an epic adventure. And I can confirm that at midday is was actually too hot, we went and hid under some trees until the intensity of the sun abates a little.
The little ones arrived this morning in very high spirits, I’d told them we were off on a big adventure, and sure enough I’d packed a rucksack with too much food (and unfortunately forgot to take one of Aiden’s blankets – which he asked for late on and it cause a little upset – boo!), plenty of fluids and a football πŸ™‚
We had 2 fairly long bus journeys, which they absolutely loved hehehe until we finally met up with a mate of mine in Melton Mowbray. We made our way to a very nice Country Park there, and spent the day in the wilds πŸ™‚
Why Melton? Well it’s a nice change of scenery and made the journey a key part of the adventure, and my mate happens to be a talented artist and had produced of lovely picture for Paige, I’ll share that picture in a later post πŸ˜‰
So we spent the day larking about outside πŸ˜‰ more happy memories made – Yay! And the little ones slept for a considerable part of the journey home hehehe.
Right here’s a few pics then πŸ˜‰
