Well I dragged myself along to the meeting this afternoon, really wasn’t looking forward to it, in fact it was a black cloud hanging over me all day. So the upshot is this, the school wanted to flag a worry tey have, that Aiden is increasingly struggling to differentiate between the video games and YouTube videos he watches and real life. Turns out that toward the end of last week he got upset at school and said he wanted to kill himself. When they dug into this they realized he actually didn’t understand what those words meant, but that he had seen/heard it on a YouTube. The school actually made the effort to view these clips and were worried about him watchin them. Now when he’s here we all watch the clips together on the TV and are careful what is watched. However I did suggest that maybe we explore a cognitive therapy route and maybe come up with a jacket or something for Aiden to wear whenever he is playing a game or watching a clip. So that something to consider, so we’ll see what happens.

On the way home from school we called at a park again, and played in the reality of sunshine for a while 🙂
