A really good day with the little ones, despite the best efforts of the weather to ruin things, we’ve had loads of fun 🙂
We watched Mr Poppers Penguins this morning and they both really enjoyed it. Then we had a quick trip outside into the teeth of a howling gale to go to the shop.
Throughout all of this there had been much excited talk of the Firework Display we were going to see tonight (in fact they were ready to go to the display from the moment thy woke up this morning hehehe). Aiden, of his own volition looked out a pair of ear muffs to wear for the Firework Display (seemed a very sensible idea to me). In fact he wore the ear muffs for most of the day, including our trip out to the shop 🙂
Eventually the evening was upon us (although at 10 minute intervals throughout the day I was asked “If we could leave for the Fireworks now”).
I made sure everyone was wrapped up nice and warm, and despite the rain and wind we set off, Aiden opting to walk (in the previous 2 years he’s always been to the Display in his push chair).
Even though the weather was pretty rotten (it eventually eased up) we went along and had a fantastic time. It was a great display, both the little ones were great (Aiden used his ear muffs to dampen the sounds of the explosives).
By the end of the long display we were all tired out but happy, it was a great night 😀
